"Beware the barrenness of a busy life"

I thought when you pour out your effort, heart and all at something you will be fulfilled. But they don't. Being busy doesn't always equates progress, self satisfaction and fulfillment. Now, not only my head but also my heart knows that we cannot make it for the lost time. We don't have the future yet, we only have the present so might as well live one day at a time and enjoy life. There are far more awesome things out there. I know it.
We are either brooding over past or worrying about future. No wonder we don't have time to look where we are. It's hard to figure out what we 'really' want. The reason why we didn't get something even if we worked hard for it is still a mystery to me. I have to make do by saying that perhaps it wasn't meant to be. Anything that makes us continue our life is worthwhile. Life is hard to figure out sometimes even though everything unravels right in front of our eyes.
