"Judgments prevent us from seeing the good
that lies beyond appearances"
-Wayne Dyer
Who doesn't judge others anyway? We're just humans right? I do!
Let's assume this door is that of a coffee shop. If vanity strikes, no one will dare to touch the knob but would rather leave outright just because it's full of rust. How would you know what waits for you inside then? By turning your back behind the chances, you were about to miss the best brewed coffee and the rarest and finest combination of herbs.
Same goes to human beings. As much as possible let us not judge others as if we're the purest soul on earth, unless we witnessed what really happened. It's hard to be drowned with self righteous things.
i here you twin sis. i'm guilty of judging people too but I always give them the benefit of the doubt. i'm willing to re-arrange my judgement according to new information. although, most of the time I trust my instinct. you know that I'm seldom wrong when comes to analyzing people. hehe..
ReplyDeleteI miss you twin sis, I still owe an email. I had a busy weekend but I loved it!
Well said sis. One must not judge by mere appearance. Easier said than done, but i agree that we all must try harder...
ReplyDeleteagree with you with that.. sometimes, we gotta observe first :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful thought Sey! I love it.
ReplyDeletePREJUDICE is one of the greatest mistakes of man. but its inevitable we're only human. its not also sin to think "its better be safe than sorry". you gotta have a good judgement
ReplyDeletenice post btw
I could not agree more with you Ate Sey. Often, we easily judge others because of their appearance that we forget to see the real beauty of the being.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how children don't do this? We learn prejudice as adults.

ReplyDeleteit may good to blindfold our eyes first so we could really appreciate people.

ReplyDeleteyes, that's why I want to develop the habit of listening before talking.
ReplyDeleteI know how good are you with your judgement that I trust you more than my self. I plead guilty as well at yun ang isa sa mga bagay na gusto kong baguhin. I wish I am as good as you, hmm mag social worker kaya ako, bigyan mo ako ng short course. hehehe.
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best of this day twin sis. Claim it as your day. Love you and miss you. Mwahugs.
